The use of geospatial data and technology in the health and wellbeing sector can enable a variety of new innovation solutions. During the Geospatial Challenge Camp 2023, four interdisciplinary teams of researchers and students are demonstrating the potential of geospatial data and technology to inspire decision makers.
Two teams are developing solutions related to the location and accessibility of health services, while another team is focusing on a climate risk assessment tool for urban planning, especially in relation to heat-related risks. The fourth team is working on a route planning solution for travellers with sensitive sensory needs.
The Geospatial Challenge Camp teams have time until the beginning of December to work on the challenges. The aim is not to solve the problems completely, but to demonstrate the potential of geospatial data and technology in the health and wellbeing sector to inspire decision makers.
On December 1st, the teams will pitch their solutions during the Final event of the Geospatial Challenge Camp 2023. The event is free, but requires registration.
